Blue Carpet: MTV Awards 2018
Last’s nights VMA’s were... interesting, to say the least. There’s debate brewing from production, to winners and nominees of some of the night's biggest awards. Cardi B, faked us out with a baby culture reveal and Nicki Minaj, having what seems to be a renaissance of self, checked Tiffany Haddish for her teleprompter shade towards Fifth harmony’s remaining 4 Harmony’s. JLo rocked the stage regenerating us all with a mix of all of her hits. While the mainstage was a toss up overall, the red carpet was a show of endless wins and while we can't show them all here are our favorites!
Pretty Little Liars Actress Shay Mitchell basically reinvented the contour with her dark contour and bronzed cheekbones. Her neatly pulled back hair kept all the attention on her face.
Jasmine Sanders had a simple top knot but went bold with her makeup with a berry lip that we’re already on the hunt for.
As might be expected of a ''self-made'' beauty mogul, Kylie Jenner made our list with her sleek white blonde low bun and nude look. This understated clean-cut look was a shocking but delightful change for her.
Cardi B looked regal with a nude look with subtle under eye shadow to match her purple Velvet Nicolas Jebron gown and 4 million dollars' worth of Lorraine Schwartz emeralds. What everyone is buzzing about is the pixie cut she sported giving everyone a more mature Cardi.
Speaking of Pixie Magic, if you can get past Teyana Taylor’s abs reminding us we didn’t quite stick to that New Year’s Resolution, you’ll see the sultry songstress had the perfectly coifed Pixie cut accompanied by tones of brown and gold and a glossy brick red lip.
Ashanti gave a sexy spin on Old Hollywood glamour with a glitter off-shoulder gown with double thigh high splits. Her cobalt blue eye and nude lip combo made her statement earring and full waved hair the true highlight.
Amara La Negra stunned in a kelly green and gold embroidered dress and cape with her signature afro and smoky eye.
Last night’s honoree, Jennifer Lopez had waist length tresses, waved ombre blonde like her ''Waiting For Tonight'' music video.
Our big winners of the night are Chloe x Halle the sister duo, took over the red carpet with their gorgeous locs and barely there make up. They wore matching Iris Van Herpen gowns that made them look like they could just float away.
